This Seller Registration Policy defines the eligibility, process, and conditions under which individuals or businesses may register as sellers on MODCART.CO, a fashion marketplace operated by Modcart Ecom Private Limited. By registering, sellers agree to comply with all policies and regulations laid out by the platform.
1. Eligibility Criteria
To become a seller on MODCART.CO, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a legally registered business in India (Proprietorship, Partnership, LLP, or Private Limited).
- Have a valid PAN and GSTIN (except where GST exemption is applicable).
- Possess a current account in the name of the business entity.
- Be at least 18 years old (if applying as an individual or proprietor).
2. Registration Process
Step 1: Account Creation
- Visit www.modcart.co and navigate to the Seller Registration page.
- Fill out the registration form with basic information such as business name, contact details, and product categories.
Step 2: Document Submission
- Upload all mandatory documents as listed in the Seller Documentation Policy.
Step 3: Verification
- Our internal team will verify the submitted information and documents.
- The seller will be notified via email once the review is complete.
Step 4: Onboarding
- Upon approval, the seller will receive login credentials for the seller dashboard.
- Product listings and other setup processes can begin immediately.
3. Account Activation Timeframe
- The average verification and onboarding process takes 3–5 business days, subject to completeness and accuracy of documentation.
4. Rejection or Delays
Seller registration may be delayed or rejected due to:
- Incomplete or incorrect documentation
- Discrepancies in business information
- History of fraud or marketplace violations (on any platform)
- Non-compliance with applicable laws
In such cases, the seller may reapply after rectifying the issues.
5. Account Suspension or Termination
Modcart reserves the right to suspend or permanently disable a seller account in case of:
- Misrepresentation or fraudulent documentation
- Violation of Modcart policies or terms
- Repeated customer complaints or negative feedback

All information and documents shared during registration are kept confidential and used solely for platform verification and compliance.
