Seller Payment Policy
Effective Date: 1 Jan 2025
This Seller Payment Policy outlines the terms and procedures related to payments made to sellers on MODCART.CO, operated by Modcart Ecom Private Limited. By registering and listing products on our platform, sellers agree to the following payment structure and processes.
1. Payment Cycle
Payments to sellers will be processed on a weekly basis. The payment cycle begins once the product is successfully delivered to the customer and the return window (if applicable) has closed without any return or dispute.
Standard payment release will occur within 7-10 working days after the closure of the return period.
2. Payment Modes
All payments will be made via NEFT/RTGS/IMPS to the bank account details provided during seller registration. Sellers are responsible for ensuring their bank information is accurate and up to date in the seller dashboard.
3. Deductions & Fees
The following deductions may be applicable prior to the release of payment:
- Commission charges as agreed in the Seller Agreement
- Shipping and logistics fees
- Payment gateway charges
- Applicable taxes (GST, TDS, etc.)
- Penalties for policy violations, if any
- Return or refund-related charges
A detailed breakdown of the deductions will be provided in the seller’s payment statement available in the dashboard.
4. Payment Disputes
If there is any discrepancy in the payment received, the seller must raise a ticket within 7 days from the date of payment. Modcart will review the issue and respond within 5 working days.
5. Delayed or Failed Payments
Modcart is not liable for delays caused by incorrect banking details provided by the seller. In the event of a failed payment due to technical or banking issues, Modcart will reprocess the payment once the issue is resolved.
6. Tax Compliance
Sellers must ensure their GST registration and PAN information is accurate. Modcart will deduct TDS and other applicable taxes as per Indian tax regulations. Sellers can download the TDS certificate from the seller panel for reconciliation.
7. Termination of Seller Account
In the event a seller account is suspended or terminated due to violation of platform policies, any pending payments will be withheld until resolution of any outstanding claims, penalties, or disputes.
